Low Local Tech

An art exhibit about reimagining our relationship with here.

Low Local Tech is an art exhibit coming to the Wayne County Arts Alliance Gallery at 959 Main Street in Honesdale, PA from Thursday, August 27 through Saturday, October 3. The reception will take place on Friday, August 28 from 5pm – 8pm.

It examines our shared relationship with place (people, physical infrastructure, natural cycles, plants, and animals) and reimagines what it means when “here”—a relatively local-to-us-area—contains most of what we need to get by. It also explores how some artists, craftspeople, hunters, farmers, builders, and more are “relocalizing”; that is, slowly, intentionally, if imperfectly, shifting towards living and working this way.

We’re actively curating the exhibit this spring and are accepting art proposals (concepts) until May 3rd and completed submissions until June 28th, or until all spots have been filled. Please use the buttons below to either submit a concept or receive occasional updates about the exhibit or related workshops.

As various artists are brought into this exhibit, you’ll see examples of their work below
